My research interests and experiences are in the area of fisheries acoustics and stock assessment. I first came into contact with fisheries acoustics when I studied for my Ph.D degree in University of Alaska Fairbank. The project focused on using opportunistic acoustic data to investigate the fishing impact on pollock schooling pattern in the eastern Bering Sea. After completed postgraduate study, I joined in Alaska Department of Fish and Game and worked on stock assessment for salmon, sablefish and rockfish. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow focusing on using hydroacoustics to assess the effects of tidal energy turbine on fish in Cobscook Bay.
