Programs

The School of Marine Sciences offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as an intensive, field-oriented, in-residence, fall-semester program for undergraduates — called Semester by the Sea.  The latter program is open to qualified students from outside UMaine (aka "from away"). If you are not sure what you want from a marine program, or what degree to seek, you may wish to read this. If you need to locate a faculty member with knowledge about particular functions of SMS (e.g., graduate admissions), you can find them on the list of current faculty committees.
