Review of the study on the economics
of the proposed Indian gaming casino in York County

Jonathan Rubin, Interim Director of the Margaret Chase Smith Center for Public Policy and Charlie Colgan from the Edmond S. Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine reviewed a study on the economics of the proposed Indian gaming casino in York County. The economic feasibility study, commissioned by the Passamaquoddy and Penobscot Indian Nation tribes, was performed by James Klas, a hospitality industry consultant from Minnesota. Rubin and Colgan shared their analysis of the study with the state Task Force to Study the Impact of a Maine-Based Casino on Monday, September 30, 2002.
