Dr. Trostel's training is in applied economic
theory and applied econometrics. He specializes in the analysis of labor
markets and fiscal policies. Most of his research focuses on human capital.
Among other things, his research examines how fiscal policies affect the
incentives to invest in education and training. His research also explores
the quantitative effects of education on wages and employment, as well as
the implications for economic growth.
