New England 800 Project Evaluation

This project will conduct an evaluation of a demonstration welfare-to-work project in Waldoboro, Maine. The three-year project, implemented by Coastal Enterprises, intends to demonstrate that providing expansion capital to a private company in the information technology sector and training and support services to TANF recipients can result in gainful employment for the TANF recipients.

Funding Agencies:  Job Opportunities for Low-Income Individuals Program (JOLt) within the Office of Community Services, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, through Coastal Enterprises, Inc.
