STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

Maine State Government Internship Program
The Maine State Government Summer Internship Program is a full-time, 12 week, paid work experience.  The Program combines a summer work experience with an educational program designed to provide students an opportunity to participate in and contribute to Maine State Government.

Margaret Chase Smith Public Affairs Scholarship
The Margaret Chase Smith Public Affairs Scholarship was established in 1991 in the University of Maine Foundation with gifts from Harold Alfond to the Margaret Chase Smith Foundation in Skowhegan, Maine.  Scholarship winners work with faculty advisors and/or staff of the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center in the conduct of research. The student and Center staff then develop a dissemination plan to ensure that the results are communicated to relevant audiences.
