Strengthening Universities and Community Through Engagement

College faculty, administrators, professionals and community members are invited to attend a day-long conference on September 26, 2007 at the Morgan Hill Event Center in Hermon, Maine entitled, "Strengthening University and Community Through Engagement."

The event will feature three nationally recognized experts in building, sustaining and evaluating community-university partnerships: Dr. Lorilee Sandmann from the University of Georgia; Dr. Linda Silka from the Center for Family, Work and Community at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell; and Armand Carriere, Executive Director of the Worcester UniverCity Partnership, Worcester, Massachusetts.

A Chancellor’s Roundtable on Community Engagement which will be moderated by University of Maine System Chancellor, Dr. Richard Pattenaude.
