Update 11/08/05:
Bondo application has started.  We have decided to not bother making the previous shape hood so the new hood scoop and headlight modifications have started.  Basic shapes have been made so currently work is focused on doing the final touches for the shape.  Concurrently, the stress analysis of the carbon fiber is being performed via solid modeling.  Pictures of the plug and the model are below.  The model shown below is not of the actual end result plug but of a more general worst case scenario style.

So far we have successfully laid the plug down on a piece of shower board and started the sanding/filling progress.  With any luck, we will be able to create a better mold from the modified plug for the current shape of the cowl so should we decide to stick with the current hood shape we can make a better quality hood via a VARTM process.
