Scholarship request instructions
Both a parent or guardian and a school guidance counselor must fill out the attached Scholarship Application and Registration - Scholarship Request Camper forms. Please mail them to:

A limited number of Creative Design at CAD Camp scholarships are available. Applications are accepted until the closing date for camp registration, but highest priority will be given to scholarship applications received prior to May 1. Typically about 4 of 10 of campers receive scholarship assistance.
All requested information is required. Incomplete scholarship application forms and registration forms will not be considered. For scholarship questions please contact Associate Professor Karen Horton at 207-581-2136 or at karen.horton@umit.maine.edu
Some scholarships are designated for economically disadvantaged campers. Others are designated for girls, some racial or ethnic minority campers, or campers with disabilities without regard to need. In general, campers will be considered for scholarships that require them to pay either a $50 registration fee or half the usual registration fee. Scholarship awards are made at the discretion of the CAD Camp Director to comply with the intent of the sponsors.
Please seek additional scholarship funding through local foundations, companies, or agencies – many campers have been helped by seeking additional funding themselves. Please tell them of your interest in CAD Camp.
Awards to those applying will be made in the order received with oldest campers and first-time campers receiving priority. Scholarship decisions will be made after May 1 and first notification will be sent by May 15. Since scholarship funding is often still arriving after May 15, those campers who did not receive funding at that time will continue to be considered until the camp registration period closes.
Once notified of a scholarship award, the camper must send the remaining balance of the camp registration fee within two weeks or a camper still waiting for a scholarship will be awarded the scholarship.
