 Dear Allan,

 

                 I wanted to send you a letter to thank you for your generous donation of the steel materials to my senior design team this past week. The funds saved from the steel is going to  enabled us to further develop some ideas we had to previously give up on because of budget restrictions.

 

                 I also wanted to thank you for your input about the steel and your patience while this process played out.
