•  Design for average size African adult missing both legs, or with spinal cord injuries

•  Travel 5-10 km per day

•  Able to go uphill and downhill over rough terrain

•  Able to carry two 5 gallon pails of cargo

•  Has an effective braking system

• Seat designed for maximum comfort

•  Total cost of parts and materials limited to $200 (US dollars wholesale cost)

•  Easily built and repaired by local labor
