Upper two photographs show the construction of a modified mortise and tenon MicroJoint used as a substrate-to-substrate fluidic interconnect. Bottom photograph demonstrates how the joints mate to form the fluidic "quick-connect". The "quick-connect" was fabricated in silicon and has fluidic channels and vias to direct the fluid as well as finger MicroJoints to integrate the "quick-connect" with other fluidic components and systems.
