April 3 "THE DESTRUCTION OF THE MODERN STATE OF IRAQ" Sinan Antoon, from Baghdad, received his Ph.D. from Harvard and is a faculty member at New York University with specialization in premodern Arabo-Islamic culture and contemporary Arab culture and politics. A widely published poet and essayist, he coproduced and codirected the film About Baghdad, which he will show on Apr. 4. Dr. Antoon will also deliver a lecture on Iraq on Apr. 3 at 7:00 p.m. in 140 Little Hall.
