Sargent Mountain in
Acadia National Park is one
of the a favorite hike, even though the Sargent is not as high as
nearby Cadillac Mountain. The wind roars on the summit this
cold early April day. You can see the wild grasses wave in the
gusts.

The summit of the mountain has the cairns
typical of all the hikes in Acadia.

Looking Northeast from the summit you can see
Black Mountain and other hills that are part of
Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands Donnell Pond Public Reserve Lands.

But my favorite view from the top of Sargent is
looking South on the descent.
