Machu Picchu:

Nestled in the Andean mountain tops, overlooking the Urubamba River (meaning noisy water in Incan), Machu Picchu is the lost Incan City.  Since the Spanish never found Machu Picchu it still remains intact unlike many ancient cities. It is a large tourist attraction and is hiked by many backpackers along the ancient Inca Trail.

This is the city’s common area, the grass is professionally mowed by llamas.

View from the sun-gate, the spot on the horizon where the sun first hits upon the city. The windy loop is the road leading up to Machu Picchu.
