Island HS Interns] The Lab is dedicated to helping further students goals and education in the sciences and have had numerous undergraduate and high school students assist is conducting various aspects of our research. In 2009, Katherine Doyen from George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill, ME spent a week in the Connell Lab assisting and learning about the scientific method and day to day laboratory methods. She assisted with culture work for the Antarctic fungi project and learned much about the other work going on in the lab.
