In
2009 the Connell Lab participated in an outreach effort with Acadia
National Park located on Mount Desert Island along the beautiful coast
of Maine. Participants learned about ongoing research and methods including
phytoplankton sampling and monitoring for harmful paralytic shellfish
toxins. The Partners in the Park Program is an outdoor experiential
learning program sponsored by Southern Utah University and Cedar Breaks
National Monument in cooperation with the National Collegiate Honors
Council.
