FOGLER LIBRARY VENTILATION
SYSTEM
In addition to supporting the
academic and research mission of the
The total construction budget
for this project is approximately $1.5 million.
Firms desiring to be
considered for a design commission should submit a letter indicating interest
and the ability to start work immediately.
The letter must be accompanied by four (4) copies of the following:
a) A list of
similar type projects in library/museum facilities completed in the past five
(5) years;
b) A profile
of firm personnel to be involved in the project;
c) A listing
of consultants normally used;
d) A listing
of projects within the state of Maine, including owner’s representative which
demonstrates the capabilities of the firm for similar size, scope and nature of
projects, as described above; and,
e) A list of
college and university experience and references.
To be considered, design firms must be capable of
starting design work immediately following the conclusion of the selection
process. Short listed firms will be
contacted to participate in on-campus interviews.
The firm with which the University will sign a
contract must have, on its staff, an engineer licensed to work within the state
of
Firms will be required to provide all construction and
record drawings for this project on electronic media (CAD) in either .dwg (preferred) or .dxf format.
The principal design firm selected for a design
agreement will be required to show evidence of, and maintain through the
project warranty period of one year following completion of the project,
Professional Liability (Errors and Omissions) Insurance through a Company
licensed to do business in Maine, with a minimum coverage per occurrence of One
Million Dollars ($1,000,000). Other
