REQUEST
FOR ESTIMATES
- FM provides
free estimates for work requested by departments for which the initiating/receiving
department will be charged. This type of work will become a Work Order,
and applies to work such as building a bookcase, installing additional
light switches, installing a new/replacement carpet, etc. (see description
of Work Orders below).
FM strongly
recommends that your department request an estimate for all such work
so that we can identify all aspects of the work and account for all
costs prior to the start of the work. If left unconsidered, issues
arising from asbestos abatement, life safety codes, compliance with
the Americans with Disabilities Act and other regulations/requirements,
can seriously hamper the completion of the work in a timely and cost-effective
manner. After FM has received your Request for Estimate, an
FM staff person will contact you to further discuss details
and scope. All estimates are usually completed within a two-week period.
To submit a Request
for Estimate, please click the Request for Estimate button above,
complete the Request for Estimate form, and click SUBMIT to send it
to FM.
- WORK
ORDERS
- If you have a
facilities maintenance issue, one requiring repair by FM, such
as broken floor tiles, plugged toilet, broken light switch, dripping
faucet, sticky locks, etc., please click "Reporting Problems"
button on the left menu to report these issues. FM pays for these
types of repairs.
If your department
needs work performed by FM, such as building a bookcase, installing
additional light switches, installing a new/replacement carpet, and
so on, please communicate your request via this page.
All work is scheduled
and tracked at FM with a Work Order. To request services of
FM for which your department will be billed, please click the
Work Order button above. Work Orders cannot be submitted without
an account number. Once you request services, your Work Order
will be forwarded to the appropriate FM unit where it will
be scheduled. The staff assigned the work will then contact you to
discuss the work.
