1. T-S = tenure-stream faculty

2. Includes individuals coded by HR as 6 or 7 (i.e., "faculty").

3. Part-time or full-time faculty are included.

4. Only faculty with at least a partial appointment to an academic unit are included.

5. Research faculty, both in funding and title code, are included (e.g., MAFES faculty are included, as are "research professors").

6. Research-unit faculty with at least a part-time appointment to an academic unit are included (with FTE appropriate to their part-time appointment).

7. Department chairs are included; deans and associate deans are excluded.

8. "Director faculty" are included (i.e., those who direct a program and have faculty status -- e.g., Habib Dagher).

9. Coaches, Cooperation Extension faculty without a part-time academic appointment, and faculty with only a CED appointment are excluded.

10. Faculty with appointments across multiple departments are counted in FTE proportions appropriate to their appointments.
