Memorial Union Marketplace is open!
8 a.m.
 
Move In - your residence hall
Move-in time for students living on campus. See Housing Assignment and Meal Plan for important information.
10:30 a.m. Information Fair - Memorial Union
See some of the many University departments and student organizations on campus. Find out all there is to do at UMaine!
11:30 p.m. Opening Session - Minsky Recital Hall, Class of 1944 Hall
Don't miss the Opening Session; it's where you find out what you need to know.

12:30 p.m.

Lunch
Try one of the many eateries available at the Memorial Union Marketplace. You may use your Black Bear Bucks on your MaineCard at the Union.

1:30 p.m. Classroom & General campus Walking Tour - Meet at info booth, Memorial Union
Get acquainted with your new home-away-from-home! This is a good tour that will help you find your way around. It's also an opportunity to find out where your classes will be located!
8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Open Office Hours - Around campus
Any unfinished business? Need to pay your tuition? Need to speak to a college advisor about your class schedule? Questions on financial aid? Now's the time to take care of any University business. Staff members will be on hand to get you on your way to a good semester!
3 p.m. UMaine Technology Workshop - Bangor Room, Memorial Union
You don't want to miss this workshop- it's short & sweet and to the point. No boring and confusing info here- just the nitty gritty to learn how to get around in the world of UMaine technology. You'll be using it throughout your college career. See you at the workshop!

4 p.m.

Get Connected with the Connections Program! - College Student Inventory (CSI) Bumps Room, Memorial Union
The CSI is a survey administered to all first-year student at the University of Maine. The results of the survey will allow UM to provide you with the individual resources and programs that will help you be successful. Students who took the survey in the fall have commented that the results helped start them off on the right foot and helped them identify resources they should take advantage of. For questions about CSI please contact the Connections Programs at 581-1420.

5 - 7 p.m. Marketplace will be open for dinner!
6 - 9 p.m. Shopping Trip to Bangor - meet at the Info Booth, Memorial Union
Forgot to bring that comforter or some bath towels? Just want a new outfit? We'll be taking people to the Bangor Mall, Wal-Mart, Borders Books, Best Buy, etc. Feel like seeing a movie? Let us drop you off- we'll come back and pick you up!

Looking for a job?  Find out all the options you have available here on campus!

The Maine Marketplace has a large variety of food venues; try one of them!
1:30 p.m. Fogler Library Tours - meet at Fogler Library
Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the services and resources at Fogler Library. There will be a building tour, an introduction to special services, and an overview of online resources!

Snow Tubing Outing - meet at Info Booth, Memorial Union
Who doesn't like snow? After all, you're in Maine... join us on a fun trip to Hermon Mountain, just a few miles away.... it's free! Or just come along for a hot cup of cocoa... just join in and meet new friends!

Student Meal Plans begin - Hilltop and York Commons
Your Dining Funds portion of your meal plan may be used prior to that time at the Marketplace.
