13 Months:

Decide on conference site
Choose LAC members
Develop budget arid registration fees

12 Months:

Begin solicitation of funds
Make motel/hotel reservations
Find airline discounts

10 Months:

Begin planning tours
Decide on location of Sunday, Wednesday, & Thursday
  evening events

8 Months: Select local dignitary & session moderators
Develop registration form for publication in the January 
  issue of the PAA Insider newsletter
Reserve buses for tours, and vans and buses for local
  transportation
Reserve locations for Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday
  evening events
3 Months: Verify all tour details
Enlist audiovisual operators
Enlist persons to assist with poster placement, display, 
  and removal 
Develop schedule for van drivers
Assemble registration packets
2 Months: Arrange for program and abstracts to be bound
Hire child caregivers
2 Weeks: Make signs
Schedule the child caregivers
1 Week: Assign light switch operators
Check projectors, pointers and microphones
1st Day: Post agenda near entrance of each meeting room
