This store, generally called The Ampersand, is a great little coffee shop and foods market right in downtown Orono. They offer a variety of coffees and coffee-shop snacks, a large variety of teas, and have aisles full of natural and unusual foods, and unusual candies. This is the only store known to have carried such an oddity as "cherry fudge cola". They also carry a large variety of pre-bagged bulk snacks, such as choloate or yogurt raisins, trail mixes, rice crackers, wasabi peas, and nuts, similar to the Natural Living Center.

They also carry a wide variey of pre-bagged bulk herbs, as well as herbal supplements, incenses, oils, natural beauty products, and candles. They also carry other gift shop items like greeting cards, journals, candle holders, jewelry, some jewelry-making supplies, clothing, rugs, and sarongs / wall hangings.
