Warning
signs of depression
decreased interest or pleasure in most activities
significant weight loss
insomnia or excessive sleep nearly every day
agitation or lethargy nearly every day
feelings of worthlessness
difficulty concentrating in class or at work
frequent thoughts of death or suicide
If
you're feeling depressed:
seek out professional help
give yourself time to heal
don't make major life decisions
don't use or abuse drugs or alcohol
reduce the stressful demands you are facing
take time out to think
If
you're friend appears depressed:
talk with them
tell them you're concerned
don't blame or judge them
encourage them to seek professional help
don't give up on them
don't ignore the problem
