STD/I & HIV/AIDS Testing

We understand that getting tested for a sexually transmitted disease/infection or HIV/AIDS is not really the most exciting, happy thing to do in the world. However, it's really important. Even though it's scary to think about getting tested, think about how much more frightening it'd be weeks, months or even years from now if you realize you've had a disease or infection that you could have taken care of had you just gone for that quick and painless test.

Get tested. It's better to know than to wonder.

Types of STD and HIV testing
Anonymous-
you are not required to provide any information about yourself - including your name. You can pretend you are Marilyn or Mickey Mouse, it doesn't matter.

Confidential- your name and other important information will be provided, but that information is kept confidential - meaning only the doctors and nurses who work with you at the health center will see that information.

Cutler Health Center
Records & Billing-
For any STD test at Cutler, if you do not want your parents or others to find out about the test, you should pay cash the day of the visit. If you cannot pay cash and want to use insurance or charge your student bill, the bill will show "CHC Clinic"." If you use your parents' insurance, the insurance form would read "STD screening" for STD tests or "EMAN testing" for HIV tests. The HIV test is done by an outside agency, however, so that information does not stay on your permanent health record. The STD test does stay on your record.
