Socialism: the book and the website

This website is intended to complement the book, Socialism, edited by Michael W. Howard (Humanity Books, 2001), an anthology of readings by some classic and mostly contemporary, critical but sympathetic, authors on models of socialism and on various topics related to socialism: freedom, equality (including race and gender), democracy, community, religion, ecology, science and technology, art and culture.

Here you will find links to electronic texts and authors cited in the introduction or included in the book.

In addition, you will find links to sites of socialist authors, and to sites on topics covered in the book, as well as some sites of socialist journals and organizations, and comprehensive sites that contain many other links.
