    Browser Compatibility

Not everyone uses the same Web browser. Some people use Web Explorer, Netscape Navigator while others use Firefox. Some people have the latest versions of a browser, while others have older versions.

FrontPage offers many great features and web components, but they don't all work with the various browsers.  It's a good idea to decide - right from the start - which version of which browser you are developing your web site for. Once you make your decision, FrontPage will only include features that work with the browser you have chosen.

    1. On the Tools menu, click Page Options, and then click the Authoring tab. In FrontPage 2000, you will need to select the Compatibility tab.
    2. In the Browsers list, click a browser type.
    3. In the Browser versions list, click a browser version.
    4. Click OK on the Page Options dialog box.
Select Page Options from the Tools menu. Setting up browser compatibility on the Authoring tab.
