Upcoming Events- Fall 2008:

The Pike Golf Tournament will be taking place yet again this year-
When:     October 4th, 2008 at 11 Am
Where:    Pine Hill Golf Course Orrington, ME
Cost:       $30 per person
There will be prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, and best team.

Homecoming this year will be October 25th- 26th. The football game is scheduled for the 25th at noon. As usual we will have tailgating, followed by a BBQ at the Pike house.

Alumni Association Update:

The alumni association held their first meeting September 20th in Portland, ME. The officers are as follows:

The next meeting will be homecoming, October 25th. Dues will be $50 the first year and $100 per year after that. This is a very important asset to the Fraternity and we hope all Pike alumni will join and continue to support Pi Kappa Alpha for years to come.

Pike House Update:

As some of you may know, the Pike house is in need of significant repair. Our chapter advisor James Russell and house advisor Matt Leclair have received a loan from Pike Nationals to repair the 2nd and 3rd floor decks. While the 3rd floor deck is taken apart, four new 3rd-floor rooms will be constructed. Increasing the capacity of the house will hopefully generate enough income to allow for more renovations and repairs in the near future. The project is tentatively scheduled to be framed up by homecoming and complete by the end of the semester. For more info contact Matt or Jamie.

Chapter Update:

•    This fall we gave out 18 bids, and now have 18 new pledges thanks to the hard work of our rush chairmen Kevin Bailey and Chris Anderson.
•    Treasurer Tom Dickens has been working very hard to help the chapter transition to operating the house budget as well as the chapter budget, and is working with Matt Leclair to ensure the financial stability of the chapter.
•    We have already logged a significant number of community service hours and we continue to dominate athletics, with a huge win of the flag football championship over SigEp
•    Our active roster is at 48 brothers
