"Dick and Anne Collins are among the University of Maine's most generous
and faithful donors. Many donors choose to support a single area that is
of special importance to them. What makes the Collins philanthropy so
special is their incredible support for so many aspects of the
university, and especially the performing arts and our athletic
programs.
Today, we're celebrating two truly magnificent new gifts from Dick and
Anne for these two passions. I'm enormously proud and honored to
announce the Collins' gift of $5 million for the Maine Center for the
Arts."
