Videos - Machias Savings Bank Gift
Robert A. Kennedy, President,
University of Maine: "Nobody loved the Museum of Art, nobody had a
bigger impact, perhaps--or at least a co-big-impact on the Museum of Art
and moving here to downtown Bangor--than Ted Leonard. And all of us, the
art community in particular, are saddened by the loss of Ted here among
our family and in the community. And Machias Savings Bank, led by Ed
Hennessey, has made a donation that will promote the kind of access to
the arts that Ted Leonard stood for. Thanks to this generous gift,
admission to the University of Maine Museum of Art will be free for all,
from this moment all the way through calendar 2008."

Jim Donnelly, Regional Vice President, Machias Savings Bank: "Ted's
passion was his community, and he enjoyed giving up his time to promote
things that would better fulfill our community, and the art museum was
one of the things that he loved so much. So, we're very proud to be able
to do this in Ted's memory, and we would loved to have been doing this
with Ted here with us, but we didn't have that choice. We miss Ted, and
good luck to the museum and for the access."
