Bike Registration
Bicycle Registration Program A bicycle registration program is available to all students and employees through Public Safety. Registration programs are conducted throughout the year. Public Safety provides metallic decals to affix to bicycles. A registration card is filled out with pertinent information on the bicycle and owner identity. The registration cards are maintained at Public Safety. It is the bike owner’s responsibility to update this record, should his or her address and contact information change. At the request of the owner, an engraver is used to put any owner-recognized numbers on the bike. DO NOT USE a driver’s license number, student ID or Social Security number for property identification numbers! Use of these secure numbers may lead to identity theft. 		Blue Bike Program Green Campus Initiative recovers abandoned bikes on the UMaine campus each year and refurbishes them to provide free transportation to students. Students may reserve a Blue Bike for part or the duration of a semester upon presentation of a valid MaineCard ID. For more information contact GCI at 581-3322.
