What’s Provided

Residence hall rooms vary in terms of styles of furniture. As the residences are upgraded and renovated, Property Management is consolidating styles.

University furniture cannot be removed from original rooms or exchanged for other university furniture.

Most residence hall rooms are not carpeted; they have tile floors.

All student rooms and apartments are fully furnished. Residence hall rooms contain:

  • Desk & Chair
  • Dresser & Mirror
  • Bed
  • Recycling and waste baskets
  • Closet for each occupant
  • Windows vary in size but most have 4' blinds
  • Data jacks
  • Cable TV outlet
  • Local phone service jack

For information about a specific residence hall, please visit the Housing residence hall website at:

Mattresses

Most of the newest mattresses are 36" x 80" x 6". Older beds are outfitted with a mattress that measures 36" x 76" x 6". Students may wish to purchase extra long twin sheets, as those will fit all beds.

Loft Beds

Due to space and convenience, the University is converting all residence hall beds to loft beds as funds become available.

Constructing or installing personal loft bed is prohibited for safety reasons. Only loft beds issued by the University are allowed.

Personal Furniture

Non-University furniture may be brought into student rooms as long as it complies with Fire Safety Ratings and Procedures. Keep in mind original furnishings cannot be removed and Property Management does not provide storage for excess furniture or personal belongings.
