Shared
spaces
Common areas in residence halls vary from
building to building. Typically features
include a television and microwave located in a furnished
lounge area and game tables. Pianos are located in common
areas
of
most residence facilities. All of the pianos in inventory
are well worn but in reasonably good condition.
Elevators
Convenience elevators are available in all dormitories
on campus. Jumping in and overcrowding an elevator, as
well as forcing the doors open before the elevator stops,
is known to cause serious damage. When an incident such
as this occurs, the cost of repair is billed to the students
involved (if identified) or all residents of the hall.

Washers & Dryers
Each residence hall is outfitted with a common laundry
facility. Washers and dryers accept MaineCards only as
payment to operate. See Maintenance for information on reporting maintenance issues.
Vending Machines
A number of local eateries provide food delivery services
to campus, but if you’ve got a major case of the
late-night munchies, each residence hall offers vending
and canteen services featuring a variety of Coca-Cola products,
chips and candy.

machines
and Athern’s
Food Products, 800-649-1931, stocks the food and candy
machines. Both companies are responsive to student
input about preferred products. |
