Mission Statement
The Mission of the Department is to
provide effective law enforcement and security services for an
increasingly diverse University Community by protecting life and
property on the University campus and insuring an atmosphere conducive
to scholarly learning and research. An exceptional and reliably safe and
secure campus environment for students, staff and visitors enables the
University Tripartite Goals of Education, Research and Service to the
Public to be achieved. The Department shall provide services in a
friendly, cooperative, respectful and collaborative way and in
accordance with University Policy and Procedure, to any who seek
services and help from Public Safety in furthering those three goals or
who simply need help from another human being.
