OFFICEMAX OFFICE SUPPLY CONTRACT - 2001
Prices
Prices for items on the Best Value List reflect 64-87% off the current
manufacturer's list price. Your cost for the balance of the catalog is
61% off the current manufacturer's list price (some items are excluded,
see below). The manufacturer's list price is subject to change every 90
days. The prices listed on OrderPoint will always be current, however
the catalog prices may be outdated. To get the University's current
price check OrderPoint or call OfficeMax Customer Service.
An additional 3% discount will be
applied to all purchases in any quarter following a quarter where 75% of
the items purchased by the University of Maine System were done via
OrderPoint. We encourage everyone to order using this internet system in
order for us to meet this goal and obtain the additional 3% discount.
Ordering by Phone or Fax: You can still
order by phone or fax and a worksheet is provided for your use. If you
need a worksheet, contact the Purchasing Department at 581-2695. When
ordering this way, always request a fax back confirmation. Include your
fax number on the worksheet.
Special Orders, Quantity Discounts &
Items not in the Catalog
The catalog contains over 10,000 items, however, OfficeMax's database
consists of over 30,000 items. If you are looking for an item that is
not featured in the catalog, contact your OfficeMax Representative or
OfficeMax Customer Service to obtain pricing and availability.
Guaranteed Lowest Prices
OfficeMax will match any competitors advertised price on office supplies
if that price is less than your OfficeMax contract price. Call OfficeMax
Customer Service and tell them you want to receive the lower advertised
price. You should be prepared to fax or send a copy of the advertisement
to them. OfficeMax does reserve the right to substitute with a
comparable brand.
Delivery Time
You should receive your order within 1 or 2 business days. If this does
not happen, please notify the University of Maine Purchasing Department
at 581-2687.
Returns and Exchanges
Contact OfficeMax Customer Service for assistance. Have a copy of the
packing slip available when you call. The product must be in the
original manufacturer's packaging and in re-saleable condition to be
returned.

Exclusions
The following categories will NOT get the 61% discount, however
OfficeMax guarantees a minimum of 15% discount.

carts, plotter paper, designer paper, some *masking tape, specialty
tapes & heavy duty dispensers, *batteries, *cassettes, *videotapes, *lightbulbs,
*janitorial/cleaning supplies, clocks, *film & cameras, *first-aid
products, food/beverages, picture frames, custom signs/stamps, some
heavy duty staplers, storage files & *waste containers.
