Text-Only Version
Sara Richardson, Music Major:
"You really--to appreciate it fully--sometimes you have to leave the area and then come back and realize how amazing we have it here. Just the whole atmosphere, the whole persona. The community has so much to do with it.
"My friends were playing some game out on the lawn and I went to go see them and it just so happened that I brought another friend who knew someone else, and everyone was connected in some way. It was so bizarre, and I witness this every single day. I see friends who are talking to other friends of mine that I had no idea they even knew. I feel like I'm connected to every single person on this campus.
"The reason I like living on campus is because I really like being involved in whatever's going on. If there's a Java Jive show in the Union, games, there's Bingo Monday nights, which I love--there's just so much going on.

"The teachers here know so much on so many different levels. They may be a music theory teacher, but then again, they know so much more in so many other areas. I'm going to take an independent study next semester with Beth Wiemann on Digital Music--layering your voice digitally and doing all that crazy stuff, which I never thought would be an option."
