Data & Metadata

We are using the KnowledgeBase Web site as the interface for references and data sources being compiled by DSRRN. KnowledgeBase (KB) is a collaborative project between the Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine Environment (GOMC) and the University of Maine. Currently, KB provides access to bibliographic information. In early 2009, the site will be expanded to provide access to metadata records for environmental monitoring and research data sets. In many cases, these metadata records will include links to the data sets, themselves. Records in KB will be spatially referenced, so that users can locate information using text-based and map-based searches by state/province and by watershed.
