The Canadian Rivers Institute (CRI) was founded in 2000 as a collaboration of researchers at the University of New Brunswick Saint John and Fredericton campuses. The mandate of the CRI is to carry out multi-disciplinary basic and applied research focusing on river ecosystems, including their land-water linkages for the purposes of conservation and habitat restoration. http://www.unb.ca/cri/
