
What Scholarships Are Available?
There are numerous full and partial scholarships
available. Anyone interested in a particular engineering discipline should
check with the relevant engineering department for scholarship information.
For students that have excelled in high school, scholarships are available
from the University of Maine, College of Engineering, and the engineering
department. There are several hundred thousand dollars available in scholarships.
The chance of obtaining a scholarship increases with early application.
Certain engineering programs have tuition
reductions available for New England residents who do not have the program
in their state. The following programs may provide out-of-state tuition reductions:
Biological Engineering
Construction Management Technology (CT, NH, VT)
Electrical Engineering Technology (CT, RI, VT)
Engineering Physics (RI, VT)
Mechanical Engineering Technology (MA, RI, VT)
Pulp & Paper
Spatial Information Engineering (All New England States)
Surveying Engineering Technology (All New England States)

If you are a New England resident, check
with the program to see if you can get out-of-state tution reductions.
Students with SAT scores in excess of
1400 and in the top 10% of their high school class often receive a $2,000
College of Engineering scholarship in addition to department and University
of Maine scholarships.
