Professor White’s research and teaching are aimed at developing the knowledge base necessary for Maine farmers and value-added product producers to develop more effective marketing strategies and enhance their economic viability. He has completed research funded by USDA’s Fund for Rural America to sustain and strengthen small grocery retailers in Maine and to enhance linkages between rural food retailers, consumers, and local food producers to support sales of locally grown and produced food products.
