Mark Anderson is a Senior Instructor in the school and Coordinator of the undergraduate program in Ecology and Environmental Sciences (www.umaine.edu/nrc/). Most of his career at the University of Maine has been in various administrative positions, including Associate Director for Administration of the Maine Agricultural Experiment Station, Interim Vice President for Student Affairs, and Interim Chief Financial Officer. He has been a full time member of the faculty since 2003.
His teaching includes an introductory course designed to meet the UMaine general education requirement in population and the environment, an introduction to resource and environmental economics and policy, environmental management, and the capstone course in the Ecology and Environmental sciences program. His research in recent years includes work on the economics of land conservation and recreation management and research on the measurement of learning outcomes in higher education.
