Undergraduate Info - Resource and Agribusiness Management
A degree in Resource and Agribusiness Management will position you for a career in tomorrow’s rapidly changing global economy. This degree will cultivate the business skills necessary to succeed in sales, marketing or management careers while developing applied tools to operate in small-business, finance, food, natural resource-based or international industries. Out-of-state students residing in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont enrolled in this degree pay reduced tuition (in-state plus 50%) rather out-of-state tuition rates under the New England Regional Student Program.
Our faculty view undergraduate study as the core of the University’s mission. All of our faculty teach undergraduate courses and involve students in their research. Research experiences enhance undergraduate education and provide students with practical experience. Our faculty are strongly committed to our students.
Coursework
Coursework in this degree includes general education liberal arts and science courses, foundation courses in economics and business administration, field courses in business, management, finance and marketing, electives in international affairs, forestry, agriculture, equine and animal science among many others.
Concentrations
In addition to the standard degree, three specialized concentrations are available. The Agribusiness Administration concentration leads to the completion of B.S. and M.B.A. degrees in five years. This is a challenging program administered jointly by the department and the College of Business Administration. The second concentration, Equine Business Management, leads to a Resource and Agribusiness Management degree with specialized training to excel in the equine industry in the standard four year period. The degree combines foundation and field courses in business with electives in animal science, equine management and equitation. The third concentration is the International concentration which combines business economics, language and culture.
