Renaissance is a premier female a cappella group whose members sing current music and older hits. The ensemble is available for gigs and short concerts in residence halls. They often perform with the Maine Steiners.

Maine Masque is the student theatre organization that support theatre activities at the University including independent performances directed by University of Maine students and various theatre related activities on and off campus.
The University of Maine Dance Club is a modern based dance group on campus. It is open to anyone no matter what level of dance experience one may have. Each semester the UM Dance Club works toward producing at least one student choreographed dance piece that will performed in the dance concerts.
Tap Club is one of the UMaine dance ensembles that specializes in the art form of Tap dance. It is open to anyone who wants to learn new steps and have a great time. The level of difficulty is moderate, but if you know the basic steps you will do just fine. We are going into our third semester as a club, so we are fairly new. Previous semesters we have done a piece with Happy Feet, and Drumline which were both crowd pleasers. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Nicole Lagasse or Stephanie Peer. Our first meeting will be September 21st at 7:00 in the Dance Studio.
The Swing Dance Club is an open dance group that meets at least once weekly in various locations on campus. The meetings are open to both new dancers, whom we informally teach during the meeting, and experienced members, who can come and casually dance and socialize. Members of the Club also perform in various School of Performing Arts shows, and travel to various local public dances.
