BA Theatre

All majors are required to complete 36 credit hours of theatre courses (Note: no more than 48 Theatre credit hours will be applied to the 120 credit graduation requirement). Majors are also required to complete 72- 84 credit hours of non-theatre courses which includes College of Liberal Arts and Sciences General Distribution Requirements, University General Requirements, and any electives you wish to take. The 36 credit hours of theatre courses include 30 credit hours of core theatre courses and 6 hours of theatre electives.

Majors are expected to actively participate in all aspects of the theatre/dance production program. Combined auditions will determine assignments each semester, and majors will meet weekly in THE 100 for production updates, logistics, safety training, and presentations of performance pieces and design work as appropriate. Language Requirement: completion of any language through the second semester at the intermediate level, or equivalent proficiency through examination.
