Research Catchments

The Loch Vale Research Watershed Project in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, is a long-term ecological research site. A major focus is the effect of natural and human-caused variability, including climate, land-use change, and greenhouse gases, on biogeochemical cycles. In this alpine and subalpine system, snow cover and its relation to climate variability is also a focus.
