Abstract:
During 1999, 30 vegetation plots (7.32 m radius) were set up in the Cadillac Brook Watershed and an additional 30 plots in Hadlock Brook Watershed. At each plot or subplot, measured mensuration, crown condition and damage and mortality were recorded for trees and saplings. In addition, Red Maple leaves and Red Spruce needles were collected, dried, and non-volatile nutrients and total N was determined. Includes numerous data tables that include species composition of trees, saplings and seedlings; summary of crown vigor; summary of tree damage signs and symptoms, nutrient concentrations and foliar chemistry analyses of leaf and needle samples. Includes UTM coordinates (NAD 1927) and general plot access descriptions and locatoins for all plots. All plot locations were permanently marked in the field with rebar.
