Increase the Number and Visibility
of Signature Interdisciplinary Programs
Strategic Plan Goals 1,4,5
Form an intercollege commission to encourage, develop, and promote
new, signature IDPs that build on the existing strengths of UM to
address new ideas and opportunities to serve the State and the nation,
following earlier work of Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Interdisciplinary
Studies.
-Not yet formed, but the College of Engineering and the College of
Natural Sciences and Agriculture have developed a proposal for a Center
for a Sustainable Energy Future.
