The University of Maine Office of Student Financial Aid
administers a variety of scholarships. In some cases, the donor of a
scholarship fund will specify certain selective criteria the recipient of the
scholarship must meet. We have created a listing of these scholarships and we
invite eligible students to apply.
Each scholarship has specific guidelines established by
the donor. Completion of the application form only certifies that you will be
considered for the scholarship. Receipt of a scholarship will depend on the
amount of money available and the number of qualified students
who apply. Be sure to read the description carefully and follow the application
instructions. Generally, these scholarships fall into one of several categories:
You will be considered for a scholarship automatically
after the first year you have received it if you continue to meet the
eligibility requirements and funds are available. You do not need to fill out
the Scholarship Application Form each year, but you do need to file the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year if financial need
is a scholarship criteria. Look for this symbol * by the scholarships title.
For a selective scholarship application, print one here or
contact the Office of Student Financial Aid.
Scholarship awards are determined during the summer and
fall for the academic year. Scholarships are restricted to undergraduates
unless otherwise noted.
To request an application for a restricted scholarship,
contact
the Office of Student Financial Aid or
print one yourself.
