We are trying to identify future land conservation targets in Maine and stream ecosystems that may be at risk from future human development activities.
What progress are you making toward solutions?
We have a landscape spatial model that is nearly ready for implementation to address our research objectives.
How could your findings contribute to a more sustainable future in Maine and beyond?
Our model is intended to identify land areas that are most suitable for development, conservation, and resource management, thus providing a way to promote smart growth.
Why did you decide to join SSI?
I helped to develop the original concept for SSI, so I was onboard from the start.
