Bairnet
Bairnet stands for Bangor Area Info Resources Network. Here you'll find listings for local events, local history, libraries, links to the Bangor Symphony, the Penobscot Theatre, and more!

Go to the Movies
Here are the listings for all Bangor's cinemas. Scroll down a bit and find the listings and schedules for Spotlight Cinemas in Old Town, The Colonial in Belfast, The Alamo Theatre and Northeast Historic Film, Bucksport, Grand Auditorium, Ellsworth, and Railroad Square Cinema in Waterville.

Explore Maine
You can explore regions of Maine with a click at the Maine Resource Guide.

The Maine Event Scheduler
Search for statewide events with a click. This searchable database allows you to check for events by month, by event type, or be region.  Also visit Maine.info for a comprehensive list of festivals and other activities.

Travel and Visit Maine. These sites will help you locate accommodations, entertainment, campgrounds, and points of interest for each region, as well as a list of annual events, and driving distances. Travel also will link you to information about moving to Maine.

The Maine Outdoors
Information on canoeing, kayaking, hiking, hunting and fishing, youth camps, whitewater rafting, skiing, and lodging links.

Whether you're looking for bus lines, ferries, or limos, you can follow this link and find phone numbers or Web sites if available, as well as schedules and how to make reservations. Also see below to go directly to some modes of transportation.

Maine Festivals and Fairs
Maine.info lists so many activities you can participate in, you'll have a hard time choosing!  This site is extremely well done and worth exploring!

Concord Trailways  
Daily express bus service from Bangor to Portland and Boston.

The Cat Ferry
The Cat Ferry leaves Bar Harbor daily for Nova Scotia; this site has the schedules and the fare rates.

The Downeast Guide   "Your Vacation to Guide to Maine." Here you'll find links to places to hike, family activities, restaurant reviews, and more.

Enter a date and find out what's going on!

Maine Center for the Arts   
This will link you to the Maine Center for the Arts on the Orono campus; find out about ticket information and even check the seating chart.

The Hudson Museum which is housed in the MCA also lists its events, including collections and exhibits, and a virtual tour.

The Page Farm Museum posts its activities, from wreath making to growing and buying spring seedlings.
